What is the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet?

The Apple Cider Vinegar has been used for hundreds of years to cure headaches, migraines, diabetes, chronic fatigue, arthritis, high blood pressure and many other ailments.  The tonic is made similar to how wine is made by fermenting the apple with sugar and juice.  Afterwhich certain bacteria's are added to form an acetic acid.

This tonic is known as the miracle healer in fact in the 1950's a country doctor by the name of Dr. D.C. Jarvis wrote a book explaining the benefits of this tonic as a weight loss agent. Basically the idea was that the tonic would burn fat immediately rather then store them. However this was preached to when other better alternatives weren't discovered.

The logic is simple to guess as to why this would do this. Apple has vitamin A and other essential vitamins for the body to use to dispose of fat, when the apple is made into the tonic by the process mentioned above, the concentration and acidic content is far greater. Both of these factors assist in detoxifying the body and restore balance to the metabolic pathways. The metabolic pathways are essential to dispose of fat. Furthermore the acidic content works out the liver to produce more bile fluid. Roughly speaking, this fluid assists in weeding out the fat from the food so that only the nutrients are digested.

It isn't surprising to see that today vinegar is used for many purposes such as preserving pickles, polishing artillery, cleaning kichen appliances and even dressing salad.  It is so widely used that you can't go without vinegar just by a day as fast foods such as chips contains it.  The word "vinegar" is a french word and it literally means "sour wine."

The scientific evidence of Apple Cider Vinegar as being a cure all is very limited. However there were studies done that demonstrated its benefits. The Diabetes is the major benefit there were several studies claiming that it helps reduce glucose levels by up to 6%. There were studies done of it in relation to high cholesterol. It is good for heart health and blood pressure as seen from people that took salad dressings on salads five to six times a week. Apple cider vinegar is also good for slowing down the growth of cancer cells and even killing them.  As far as weight loss is concerned, those who drank vinegar felt more fuller.
