Hoodia Max Review

Not the Extract but the Succulent

HoodiaMax diet pills are made by a company called Supplement Stop. HoodiaMax is described as a “powerful weight loss supplement made from 100% Hoodia Gordonii Succulent - not an extract.”

About Hoodia Gordonii

As you may have read from our articles on other Hoodia products, the main ingredient in many of these products is Hoodia Gordonii, a South African plant that grows in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa. Hunters chew on its leaves to suppress hunger and to give them increased endurance and stamina so they can hunt for longer periods without feeling hungry.

Difficult to Distinguish the Real Hoodia Gordonii

Since its discovery and media coverage, the Hoodia plant has been used by manufacturers of weight loss products. Some manufacturers state that their Hoodia – whether extract or not – is certified by the South African authorities. There has been a need to state this fact owing to the over-harvesting and over-production of so many Hoodia plants that it has become difficult to distinguish the genuine from the fake (or adulterated) ones.

P57 Chemical in Hoodia Gordonii

It all started in 1937 when someone from the Netherlands took a trip to the Kalahari Desert and made notes of how tribesmen used Hoodia to suppress their appetite. Research by UK scientists discovered the P57 molecule within Hoodia and years later, Pfizer conducted tests and learned that the P57 molecule could actually decrease appetite by as much as 2,000 calories a day.

Quantity in Each Bottle

Hoodia Max™ is available in the United States and is sold in 120-capsule bottles of 500 mg. Some retailers sell it with 700-mg capsules as well. A bottle retails for about US$30.00. It is to be taken 2-3 times a day with food and plenty of water. Optimal results can be obtained if taken every day.

Not for Everyone

People who have been diagnosed with a liver disease cannot take HoodiaMax. It is also not for diabetics, people with a heart or kidney condition or for women who are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

How it Works

Like some weight loss products that are classified as appetite suppressants, HoodiaMax is marketed with the “not hungry” message that goes straight into the brain. More specifically, these messages are received by the mid brain – the hypothalamus. The nerve cells in the hypothalamus are the cells that sense glucose sugar. When a person eats and feels full, these nerve cells carry that message. Because Hoodia contains the P57 molecule which is described as being 10,000 times as active as glucose, the mid-brain does not register hunger at all.

To say that HoodiaMax will do all the work in making you shed off those pounds would be misleading. The best advice an overweight person can receive is to adopt a lifestyle where diet, exercise and weight loss natural supplements are integrated.
