How Weight Loss Works

Fat loss is a way to lose excess fat so that you will feel healthy. It requires patience and you must follow any fat loss regime with a degree of consistency.

There are 3500 calories in one pound of fat therefore in order to lose that fat you must burn or create a deficit of that 3500 calorie intake which will not simply occur overnight. The entire issue of fat loss revolves around the control of insulin and lactic acid. Insulin is responsible for removing excess blood sugar. When sugar is stored it is converted to glycogen, where it is used by the muscles and liver, the excess is stored as tri-glycerines as the body fat. Over-production of that insulin will render the body unable to burn fat. This results much of the fat to be converted to tri-glycerines, which also producing high levels of cholesterol which then creates many inflammatory problems like asthma, arthritis, psoriasis and migraines.

Generally fat is the main energy source. When the insulin isn’t balanced, much of the fat in the body is converted to energy when it is at normal condition where the body is a little active. Basically, activity burns off the fat and insulin stores less of the excess fat left over.

Therefore to burn off 3500 calories from the one pound of fat that was previously mentioned all that is required is to create a gradual deficit to the 3500 calories. For instance, one can consume 1000 calories per day and create a 200 to 500 calorie/day deficit whereby it will only take 7-17 days to lose the one pound of fat regardless whether you are active or not.
