Like all diets, this diet works by constricting food eaten per meal in a ratio of 40-30-30 of carbohydrate, proteins and fats, respectively, within the first hour of walking up. The diet divides your food portions per meal to ensure that you get the best absorption out of eating them. There are several rules, the most important of all is to begin each day with the zone meal within the first hour of walking up.
There are specific carbohydrate foods that you should avoid as carbohydrates are 40%. However, you are free to consume whatever, as there are no foods that are bad for you in keeping within the 40-30-30 rule. You can even buy meals from fast food chains or restaurants.
This diet is similar to the zone diet but for lazy people that really don't want to go through the whole book written by the author. This diet has achieved a staggering number of followers as the dieters are able to eat whatever they want in keeping with the 40-30-30 rule. With this diet there aren't any nutritional worries.
