Lipocerin Review

Focuses on Insulin

Lipocerin contains that ever-popular weight loss secret called Hoodia Gordonii, known all over the dieting world as an appetite suppressant. It also contains chromium picolinate which is a substance that stimulates metabolic rates and helps the body process insulin efficiently. When insulin is processed efficiently, there is less fat stored in the body.

Hoodia Gordonii is praised for “playing tricks with your mind”; meaning, it tells your brain that you’re full making you NOT want to eat at all. Since Hoodia is a natural plant that grows in the wild, it does not cause side effects.

More Chromium Picolinate than Hydroxycut

As a way of comparing Lipocerin with other weight loss products, the manufacturers say that Lipocerin contains more chromium picolinate than Hydroxycut.

The Ingredients

In addition to Hoodia Gordonii and chromium, what else does Lipocerin contain?

Kola nut

Guarana

Grapefruit

Chinese ginseng

gymnema

Kola nut and guarana are known as sources of caffeine. Many manufacturers of weight loss supplements include caffeine in their weight loss formulations for its energy-giving properties, although some people who have a lower tolerance for caffeine report becoming nervous or jittery. The grapefruit content in Lipocerin comes from the belief that eating more grapefruit is good for you because of its high fiber/low glycemic ratio. In fact many swear by the grapefruit diet.

As for Chinese ginseng, researchers have associated it with a reduction in stress. Gymnema on the other hand helps reduce cravings for sugar.

Lipocerin also has chickweed (an aid to suppressing appetite) and almond nut (which has plenty of monounsaturated fats – the kind of fats recommended). The manufacturers say that based on a November 2003 publication in the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders, 65 people diagnosed with severe obesity were able to eliminate pounds by going on an almond-enriched low calorie diet. This was mentioned on the web site of Lipocerin.

Does not Contain Harmful Agents

Lipocerin does not contain any ephedra or Ma Huang, and that whatever caffeine it contains is the equivalent of one cup of coffee.

Testimonials

We looked for some testimonials from users and found it on Yahoo Answers. A 33-year old woman said she took two tablets (or capsules) of Lipocerin and although it did not really do much to control her appetite, she felt extra energy – like having two cups of coffee and saying she wanted to go on the treadmill right away. The feeling scared her a bit so she said she might cut down her intake of Lipocerin from two to one capsule.

Another woman also reported that she didn’t think it reduced her cravings but that she felt energetic after taking it.
